PA-202 is a strongly basic anion exchanger for removing nitrate from drinking water, aquariums and ponds

PA-202 nitrate resin is specially made for use within freshwater aquariums and ponds. The PA-202 used as a nitrate filter keeps the nitrate content in the aquarium/pond at a consistently low level. Without a nitrate filter the nitrate content always fluctuates between a minimum and a maximum value. The minimum value is set immediately after a water change and rises to the maximum value until the next water change.

Nitrate is constantly re-forming due to the excretion of fish and food waste. Nitrate can only be removed by using a nitrate filter with or by changing the water.
